A separate agent app
Anthropic introduced Claude Duet on October 21, 2026. Built around Claude Opus 5.5, it is a proactive agent app for professionals and small-business owners, rather than a new model.
What it does
According to Anthropic, Duet prepares morning briefings from connected apps, surfaces items needing attention and continues assigned tasks while users are away. Examples include scheduling, dashboards and prototypes. The company describes safeguards for credentials, sensitive information and action approvals; these are vendor claims, not an independent security assessment.
Who can try it
The research preview starts with US Claude Pro and Max subscribers through a waitlist. Anthropic lists iOS, Android and claude.ai access. Duet shares the plan’s usage limits.
What remains limited
Anthropic warns that Duet can misread threads or urgency, is weaker at personal errands and cannot yet show its browser.
What would make a useful review?
If you get access, start with a task whose outcome you can check. In your review, describe the task, connected tools, corrections you made and whether the result saved you work. Distinguish an impressive demo from something you could repeat. Only rate the product after using it yourself.
